  12.     First, here's my setup:

  14.     Amiga 2000 with switchable Kickstart ROMs installed, one 1.3 and the
  15. other 2.04. Using the 1.3, I softkick Kickstart 3.0 taken from my 1200.

  17.     Now, my problem:

  19.     I've tried following the directions to get my Kickstart to work with
  20. PrepareEmul, but nothing doing. I've run KickShifter on my ROM image, and
  21. then I try to install it with ReKick as the documentation indicates, but
  22. ReKick just seems to fail silently. Is my ROM image perhaps not in a format
  23. that Kickshifter or ReKick can handle properly? I used the Mkick package to
  24. rip it originally and to boot with it. Maybe it's a raw ROM image, as
  25. opposed to an "encoded" one? I'm feeling kind of lost at this point, so if
  26. anyone else can make sense of this, or has been able to get a softkicked
  27. Kickstart to coexist with PrepareEmul, please help me out.

  29.     I suppose my only other alternative would be to shell out for WB 2.1
  30. or the 3.1 upgrade.
